Rebrand? What does THAT Mean?

November 18th, 2009

Ack! I have been transformed! I used a word that a year ago I did not know! REBRAND. And up until tonight I did not know HOW to DO it!

And I did NOT define or explain it. I apologize. Training is what this site is about.
I did not plan a vocabulary page but I might reconsider. Tell me what you think.

The process of Rebranding a product or eBook must be permitted by the authors in their permissions and rights to use the publication. In addition, it must be supported by the appropriate software that allows you to SUBSTITUTE YOUR LINKS for the Active Author’s links within the publication.

That means, even though you are distributing or selling the original text without any changes, the active links in the publication will be YOUR product links. So any sales from the book will be credited to YOUR account. That is the process of REBRANDING.

That, naturally increases the value of the publication from a marketing point of view.
I cannot tell you how many eBooks I have downloaded that I have REBRANDING rights to nor how many DIFFERENT software scripts to convert the original links to my own.
Yet, I NEVER understood what it MEANT to DO this. AND I had not figured out how to DO it UNTIL tonight.

People say, if you have a question, or a problem, just ask. Well, that only works when you know what to ASK! I could get into a conversation about REBRANDING and say I was having trouble with xyz. (Which assumes I know what xyz is). The most typical response has been ” oh yeah, I had some trouble with that too.” Unwritten comment between the lines– but I couldn’t tell you how I solved it– it was too long ago–or I don’t know how I did it but it finally worked. So I stopped asking. And just operated on the principle that if I encounter it often enough sort of by osmosis it would become more familiar and one day I would UNDERSTAND its VALUE enough to FIGURE OUT HOW TO ACTUALLY REBRAND something!

I am not sure I could explain HOW I did it. But… I certainly did not intend to do what everyone else has done to me along the path. Holding you at the safe distance of a 10 ft pole… saying something like… oh … you need to download the book… Rebrand it with your links and upload it to the xyz file and you are set. Dull confused glazed over eyes look. So, stick with it and one of these days I will write a simple article or post about it.
WHEN I REMEMBER HOW I DID IT!!

Affiliates – How to Find Great Downline Members

October 20th, 2009

Did you know that new Internet Marketers have one major thing in common with experienced professional marketers?

How to find or attract great quality downline members to build your team and your business not just warm bodies to fill a downline and lump around.

The long term success of your company or your own affiliate work will depend on how well you can accomplish this single task.  Take a quick look at what you need to have in place so people who are,  indeed, already good affiliates will want to be a part of your team and will want to spread the word about what you are doing.
What to YOU need to have in place?

  • An identity. First of all you cannot be invisible. Did you ever buy a car from an invisible salesman? Or open a bank account with a person you did not feel comfortable with?  Not likely.   It takes a huge leap of faith and a large portion of courage to step up to the plate and say- “This is ME – This is who you are working with and this is how I can help you reach your goals.”  And then put your photo, not your baby picture or your dog’s, YOUR professional photo or at least a decent likeness of you. Don’t hide behind your hand! Announce your presence.  Sometimes your success is as much related to who knows you as it is to what you can do.
    • A good and functioning system. Bounding about and shifting directions every day or every week does not build confidence. Somehow YOU got to where you are. What methods will you teach those who follow you?  What tools will you provide?
    • Terrific and professional personalized service. You MUST stand out from the crowd and giving your affiliates outstanding service and value that meets their personal needs WILL make a difference in their loyalty.
    • Good financial returns. That almost goes without saying, but it must be said. A good affiliate wants to be rewarded right away, up front AND regularly, on time and for the long haul.
    • Stunning and stable reputation.  In a world full of  jaded prospects and “snake-oil” salesmen YOU must be startlingly distinctive and have a solid professional reputation. If you don’t have one yet, build it.
